Many people think of opera as a stilted, musty old art form, with dated and melodramatic scenarios written a couple of centuries ago.

 

Opera per Tutti exists to disavow people of that notion and to convince a whole new audience that opera is worth their time. Hence, the Cleveland ensemble performs both repertoire standards and offbeat material in a variety of atypical venues. Now it’s kicking off a new program it calls Opera Nuova, in which it promises to present a new work each fall. - read more
