Explorers LIVE
Interactive exploration for grades: K-8 After School at Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Offered in partnership with Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, this 4-week musical storytelling program is free of charge and available to any Detroit-Shoreway student in grades K-8.

Cleveland Opera Theater is excited to announce our Opera Explorers: LIVE series this fall! Offered in partnership with Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School, where all meetings will take place, the program is free of charge and open to ANY and ALL students in grades K-8 living in or attending school in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood!
In this (non-consecutive) four-week program, we'll introduce children in grades K-8 to musical storytelling. Each week, the class will focus on a different classic from the operatic repertoire. Students will come one day each week to learn the history of an opera and experience its music through activities like rhythmic movement and guided listening. Opera Explorers: LIVE is for children of all levels of experience with music; no prior knowledge is necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm and your listening ears; we'll bring the music and snacks!
